remembering...

Remembering how exciting this moment was, yet at the same time being scared to death. I was 18 in this picture and was realizing how quickly my youth was going to end. These final moments of independence would be gone forever. I remembering feeling like the moment of being in labor would NEVER happen because pregnancy seemed to last forever!! I wasn't one of those crazy women who loved everything about being pregnant...I mean whats so great about being a fat lard and having to pee all the time? nothing. haha But then you feel them kick for the first time and that's when you realize how truly amazing the miracle of life is.
Which brings me to my next point, my precious miracle. I remember having a hard time believing he  was actually here. I was a mom, Louie was a dad, our parents were grandparents! All the sudden the whole pregnancy seemed to have gone so quickly. But then hey, doesn't everything in life? Like the fact that my little miracle is going to be 2 on saturday!! how in God's name did that happen so fast? That it was 2 years ago I was crying my eyes out and telling my mom I was a pregnant senior in high school and didn't know what to do. That i was scared. But now i wouldn't have my life any other way.
This little boy is the light in my life. He means everything to me and has brought so much joy into all of our lives. What seemed like a horrible situation for a senior in high school to be in turned out to be the biggest blessing we could have ever asked for and i wouldn't have or want my life any other way. I love being Noah's mom and being his comforter for when he's scared or sad. I love how happy he is when he wakes up and how silly his little laugh is. I love the way my life has turned out and can not wait to celebrate this little miracle on Saturday. Mommy loves you Noah <3
