A year full of memories

A year full of memories it has been. From the moment i found out i was pregnant to where i am right now. Although it is still a little early before Noah is one (April 9th is the big day!) I thought i'd share with you how incredibly life changing this year has been.

Let me first start off by telling you...God works in mysterious ways. here's why. Before i was set on going to Montini for High School i desperately wanted to go to St. Francis High School  I did my entrance exam there and everything. To my surprise I didn't get in...I've always known i was a bad test taker...but not THAT bad. at the time we were also going to be moving out of Glen Ellyn so my option to go to the local public school Glenbard West was also out of the picture...so here i was with nowhere to go to school and that's where Montini came in. Since i was so set on going to St. Francis i hated Montini until the first day of school when i came back and absolutely in love with it! Had I gotten into St. Francis or had we not been moving at that time i would have never met Louie or my beautiful baby boy.

At first finding out your pregnant at 17..your first thought isn't "oh my God this is the best thing i can't wait to tell everyone!" I actually had a really difficult time wanting to accept this. I hated going out in public, i hated people knowing what was happening to me, i became extremely self conscious, and incredibly embarrassed. I only wore over-sized clothes because i thought if i wore those kinds of clothes everyone would just think i was fat ( oh gee that sounds much better? i'd rather have people think i was obese than pregnant...i know im crazy) If i had the opportunity to do it all over--oh boy would i do things differently! The only time i took a picture of myself pregnant was at my baby shower..and i feel incredibly guilty that i did not take more pictures...Noah will never be able to see what i looked like being pregnant with him just because i was an embarrassed teenager..

Now that i have Noah I wanna take him everywhere and i want the world to know that I'M HIS MOM!!!!  i wanna shout from the rooftops...YES THIS IS MY BABY!! I love him to pieces! And now when i think back on how embarrassed i was i think--what were you gonna do go into hiding with Noah? I should have known that people are gonna see your baby so eventually people are gonna know you were pregnant--stupid me..

Noah has been a complete joy and everyone is constantly saying...i can't imagine life without him. Sometimes it makes me laugh when i just watch him play because it brings me so much joy knowing that he is all mine. I created this awesome little boy! so I really thank God for all he has given me--at times it may have seemed like the worst thing but ultimately he gave me the most precious gift someone can be given!

It has been so much fun watching Noah grow up. From the first time he smiled, or laughed to now being able to saying "mama" or "dada" or "dog" and walking and waving bye bye. Every milestone is so exciting to witness! Louie and I have truly been blessed with an extremely well behaved loving little boy.

I especially want to say thank you to all of the people who have been incredibly supportive and haven't judged me through this whole process. I don't think i would be able to handle all that life has handed to me if it weren't for you!
