Noah's new favorite bedtime story is "The Little Engine that Could" he demands that we read it every night before bed. As tired as i am of reading this book to him, knowing how much he loves it I have been toughing it out. My mom and I used to have a story together "I love you forever" and even to this day i will tell my mom the rhyme in the book:
I love you forever
I'll like you for always
as long as I'm living
My mommy you'll be
So because I know how much "I Love you Forever" meant to me, and how I will always treasure that book I told myself if Noah wants to read the Little Engine That Could every night forever then I will do it. Hopefully this book will mean as much to Noah as my book meant to me.
Noah calls the book "Thought I could" because he knows at the end the Little Blue Engine thought she could make it over the mountain. So every night before bed I ask Noah if he wants to read the choo choo and he says, "come on mom mom rock it" Which translates into him wanting to rock in the rocking chair and read "The Little Engine that could"
These little memories are going to be the things that Noah and I will treasure most about our relationship and I look forward to making many more little memories with him.
