Between potty training, semi getting rid of the binkies, and Noah's ever changing clothes sizes, I can't believe what a big boy i have! Noah just started potty training this week and has already been doing so well! He is on day 5 and is already getting 4 stickers a day!!! Everyone made a big deal of him going on the potty and now everytime he goes he says "I'M SOOOOOOOOOOO HAPPPPPPPYYYYY!!!" and when he can't go potty he says "Mommy, not working." It is hilarious!
Noah is not fully off the binkies but he is getting closer! He is back to being limited to only naps and bedtime. I didn't want to overwhelm him with too many big changes since he is starting the potty training so one day we will get there. The way i look at it is he only has two binkies in his bed and if he looses those then he is SOL. It's so weird because when he wakes up from his naps or wakes up in the morning he even admits that binkies are gross...haha
4th of July was way fun, but exhausting at the same time! We kicked off our celebrations on the 2nd with the Glen Ellyn carboard boat riggata, so amazing to see all the creativity some people have. Then on the 4th our day started early. Aimee, myself, and our good family friend Brendan ran in the freedom 4 four mile race at 8 a.m. It was tough but so fun! I love the sense of accomplishment i get after doing something like this. Aimee and I made a goal for ourselves before we started the race that we wouldn't finish later than 45 minutes, and low and behold we finished in 44 minutes (Aimee would have finished alot faster, but she is an awesome sister and stuck by my side! haha) Then the usual parade and fireworks later that day.
Noah's new nickname is No pants Noah. The kid literally would choose to be naked then to wear any type of clothes haha. My sister Meredith jokes that i could make a whole album of pictures of Noah with no pants.
