My babysitter =)Noah was welcomed into the world on April 9, 2009 and let's just say it wasn't easy trying to get him here. Here's the lowdown..
I went to the hospital around 5:30 a.m. but my labor started slowly around 2 a.m. i called the midwife when my contractions were every 5 minutes and she advised me to take a bath (which probably didnt really kick-start labor considering the fact i barely fit into the tub..) Once i got to the hospital i was lucky enough to get a huge labor and delivery room. After about an hour and half after i was checked in i got my first (yes i said first) epidural. It worked for about 2 hours then i started having pains in pelvic area and started to feel my contractions again..i kept telling the midwife and nurses the epidural was wearing off and i was feeling pain. They later realized that the first epidural was put in the wrong place and got a different doctor to give me another epidural. Thankfully i was able to take about a 3-4 hour nap but unfortunatly when time came to push it wore off..then started the vomitting and the 3 hour long pushing session that went no where. I was completly exhausted and started screaming at the midwife, nurses, and doctors telling them the baby was not moving and i wanted a C-section..the doctor said it would take her a half an hour to set up the OR so i had to push for another half hour (BS right?) so i told her i wouldnt do it and rolled and my side and endured the pain. After pushing for 3 hours (waste of time huh?) Noah was delivered via C-section and a cone shaped bruised head as he was stuck in my pelvic bone (poor boy) all i can say i remember from the OR is shaking like i was ceasing, the room being unsually freezing, and my first look at Noah..i was pretty drugged up and kinda wacky afterwards because in the recovery room i kept on telling my dad that i thought they paralyzed me because i couldnt move my legs haha!! I gotta say though after all the hell i went through he was worth it!!
